What is Mingjue
Mingjue is a Chinese word that in its essence indicates a state of pure awareness. It is the awakening of the True Self so that it becomes aware of itself and its functions. This awakening illicits the awakening of our Inner Healer, and facilitates deep peace, happiness and the clearing of old physical, emotional or psychological blockages.

"Cultural Tea Information is a strong Qi Field. It goes beyond time and space and influences our life. This is in many countries. So when you drink tea -  you come to inside and you start to manage the relationship of you and yourself. You harmonise you and yourself. Don't think about it too much. Just drink and experience. Just experience yourself. When you come to this state, you will gradually come to Mingjue. Just start and a deeper level wisdom may appear.
The information feild from the old days supports this from ancient culture. Connect to this ancient field. Some people will connect more with this field and may become messengers. You experience and then you spread your experience and teach others and share tea with others"

In 2025 she travelled to China for a two month intensive Qi Science training, where she had the opportunity to meet and study with Laoshi Hemin - a highly respected and established Chinese Tea Dao Specialist

After foundational training in the Art of Tea Dao with Hemin Laoshi whilst in China, and with extra training and guidance by her husband Wei Laoshi in association to Mingjue Tea Dao, Sofia was encouraged by her teachers to establish this offering in Australia.

The deep intention of offering this foundational practice is to bring the open heart of Mingjue Love to as much of humanity as possible, with the beautiful Ancient Pu'erh Tea being a vessel for this transmition.

Please note: Sofia is trained as a Mingjue Tea Dao facilitator, and as such offers a Ceremony designed for this purpose. She is not trained as a Traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony Artist. Please be aware that although the Mingje Tea Dao Meditation Ceremony has its roots in Chinese Tea Culture, it is designed differently to facilitate a Mingjue meditative state and will not be similar to Traditional Chinese Tea Art Ceremonies.
What is Pu'erh Tea
Pu-erh tea is a unique type of fermented tea originating from the Yunnan province of China. It is known for its distinct earthy flavour and aroma, which develops through a unique aging and fermentation process. Unlike other teas, Pu-erh undergoes microbial fermentation and oxidation, which can take months or even years to complete. Like fine wine, Pu-erh tea can be aged for many years, with the flavor becoming more nuanced and complex as it ages. Some Pu-erh teas are aged for decades, developing unique characteristics and becoming highly prized. Pu-erh Tea is known for promoting a healthy heart. It aids in preventing heart disease because it helps produce lovastatin. This natural statin is commonly used to treat high cholesterol. In ceremony the natural qualities of Pu'erh create an opening of the heart enabling a connection to the True Self.
Pu'erh Tea is also known for nourishing the stomach, intestines, kidneys and pancreas. It contains a golden bacteria for fermentation which is very good for the digestive system. Highly fermented Pu'erh Tea contains significantly less caffeine than ordinary tea. It also contains L-theanine which is an amino acid that affects serotonin and dopamine levels in the brain creating natural relaxation.
